Mission Statement
ABODE SERVICES OFFERS HOUSING PROGRAMS LINKED TO SUPPORTIVE SERVICES FOR HOMELESS FAMILIES, SINGLE ADULTS AND YOUTH. HOUSING OPTIONS INCLUDE PERMANENT SUPPORTIVE HOUSING RENTAL SUBSIDY ASSISTANCE, RAPID REHOUSING AND EMERGENCY SHELTER. (CONTINUED ON SCH. O)SUPPORTIVE SERVICES INCLUDE CASE MANAGEMENT, ADDITION COUNSELING, MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORTS, HOUSING DOCUMENTATION, SUPPORT GROUPS, AND COMMUNITY BUILDING ACTIVITIES. EACH PROGRAM INTEGRATES SERVICES WITH HOUSING TO PROMOTE STABILITY AND WELLBEING.

From February through June 2026, Abode Services demonstrated both the breadth and momentum of its regional housing mission. The period opened with The Journey Home Breakfast raising over $429,000 — a signal of strong community investment — while cumulative data showed 18,090 people served and 2,768 placed into permanent housing across the Bay Area. April's National Volunteer Month mobilized over 2,300 volunteers, and May brought a landmark moment: the grand opening of Eucalyptus Grove Apartments in Burlingame, adding 69 affordable units. June closed the period with a groundbreaking in Oakland (59 future units at 34th & San Pablo) and the announcement of a merger with Bay Area Furniture Bank, deepening Abode's capacity to serve people transitioning out of homelessness.
