Recent Progress (2026)

From March through July 2026, Evidence Action sustained its dual identity as both a scaled delivery machine and a rigorously evidence-driven organization. Deworm the World remained the anchor program, marking its year-midpoint with a "50/50 Pledge" while continuing to deliver treatments for under $0.50 per child; in July, Evidence Action also began actively engaging Kenya's Ministry of Education to transition the National School-Based Deworming Programme toward full government ownership. India's anaemia work showed striking longer-term gains, with the national AMB Index climbing from 38.7% to 71.2% over five years and adolescent coverage nearly quadrupling. These developments build on a period that already included a leadership transition to CEO Danielle Bayer, Zambia's syphilis screening scale-up, Nigeria's MMS policy integration, and a candid wind-down of an underperforming chlorine dispenser program.
