Mission Statement
ALL CHILDREN AND FAMILIES DESERVE TO LIVE FREE FROM HUNGER AND POVERTY. WE'RE GOING TO MAKE THAT HAPPEN. WE'RE HELPING COMMUNITIES FEED CHILDREN WITH OUR NO KID HUNGRY CAMPAIGN AND ADDRESSING THE ROOT CAUSES OF HUNGER AND POVERTY. IT'S A BIG JOB, BUT WE'RE NOT ALONE. WE BELIEVE THAT EVERYONE HAS A STRENGTH TO SHARE.

From March through June 2026, No Kid Hungry sustained a high-intensity campaign across fundraising, policy advocacy, and direct program delivery. Fundraising milestones anchored the period: the Jack in the Box point-of-sale campaign surpassed $6 million (earning a 2026 Halo Award), the Outstanding Mother Awards raised a record $1.46 million, and Chipotle contributed $1.5 million — pushing the campaign's total past $7 million. On policy, the organization responded urgently to federal SNAP cuts affecting 3.5 million Americans, lobbied on Capitol Hill, and issued a public statement after the House passed the Farm Bill. State-level wins included 46,000 Texas students gaining free breakfast access and Georgia advancing SUN Bucks legislation toward a 2027 launch. The third annual Bridge Builders Summit in June convened 150+ leaders to co-create a Single Mothers' Bill of Rights, underscoring the organization's deepening focus on systemic economic mobility alongside hunger relief.
