Recent Progress (2026)
From March through June 2026, GreenWave pursued a multi-pronged strategy to legitimize and scale the regenerative ocean farming sector. The period opened with the release of a landmark "State of the Kelp Industry" report and a live webinar spotlighting North American market opportunities. Spring brought cross-sector partnerships โ with Rodale Institute on soil health applications and a bioremediation pilot in Newfoundland โ alongside Earth Day visibility for individual farmers like Sue Wicks of Violet Cove Oysters. By summer, GreenWave had launched interactive digital tools on the Ocean Farming Hub, rolled out free financial consultations for Alaskan farmers, and debuted Kelp CoLab, an inaugural cohort connecting nine beauty and personal care brands directly with regenerative kelp farmers in Juneau.
