Recent Progress (2026)

From March through June 2026, USA for UNFPA sustained and expanded its reproductive health programming across some of the world's most dangerous settings, even as the one-year anniversary of the U.S. government's complete funding withdrawal cast a long shadow over operations. Emergency Birth Kits, Dignity Kits, and Mama Kits continued reaching women in Gaza, Lebanon, Ukraine, and beyond β€” with 518,000 Dignity Kits and 482,000 safe births supported in humanitarian settings recorded for 2025. The Bloom. Period. program distributed over $1.2 million in menstrual health supplies to more than 25,000 women and girls in Nigeria. New initiatives like Moldova's Fathers' Club and a multi-part contraception education series signaled a broadening of the organization's advocacy lens, while frontline deliveries β€” including 120 Dignity Kits just 2.5 miles from the Ukraine frontline β€” underscored the operational reach of the work.
