From March through June 2026, City Harvest sustained a high-intensity campaign against food insecurity on multiple fronts. The period opened with the inaugural Gather for Good Repack (72 volunteers, 2,012 bags of lemons) and a major Albany Advocacy Day, then accelerated into a record-breaking April Gala that raised enough to fund 12 million+ meals — with XTX Markets matching up to $100,000. Mobile Markets in Sunset Park, the Bronx, and Bed-Stuy consistently reached 500–900+ families per event, distributing tens of thousands of pounds of fresh produce monthly. The Share Lunch Fight Hunger campaign (May 4–15) targeted summer food access for 11,000 kids, while the June "Summer in the City" gala raised enough to help feed 1.2 million New Yorkers. Legislative wins — the NYS Food Date Labeling Act and Good Food NY bill — capped a sustained advocacy push spanning Albany, City Hall, and Capitol Hill.
